Die Cut Butterfly Birthday Card

We have had this lovely Joy Crafts, Butterfly die cutting stencil in stock since the start of the summer but this is the first chance I have had to try it out. It is made up of three different sized butterflies and I have used all three on this card.
The background paper is some from my personal stash that I have had for ages and never found a use for until now it's funny how everything gets used in the end!
I layered orange card and the pink paper on a cream A6 card blank, the butterflies are cut from the same orange card and I inked the edges of the butterflies with a red ink pad, which happily came out looking pinkish on the orange card. I used adhesive pearls to decorate the bodies of the butterflies and bent and curved the wings slightly so that they would stand off the card a little. I used the copper Happy Birthday peel off to finish it off which worked well with the pink and orange.

New Home Card with Die Cut Fence, Grass and Birdhouse

I had intended making a new home card for my daughter when she moved into her new University digs at the beginning of July, as usual I missed the date, too busy preparing for our holidays! The idea for the card has been in my head ever since and I finally got round to making it last week, all I need now is someone who is moving house.....

The grass, fence, birdhouse and birds are all die cut using a range of stencils (see below), the leaves are stamped in green and clear embossed to give them some texture and the message was made on the computer and mounted on green card, a simple card but quite cute.
