Round Owl Christmas Card

I decided to start small and simple with Christmas cards this year, and wanted to try creating a different shape card.
I used a standard A6 white card blank and cut it using a 10cm plain circle die cutter, just leaving a 3cm long piece of the fold out of the die so that the two halves of the card are still joined. I then cut a red circle slightly smaller and finally cut the Little George card topper slightly smaller again and layered these onto the card blank. Self adhesive pearls and a peel off greeting finished it off. I think this would be a nice card to give to a child. I left it plain but you could add some glitter glue to the white part of his hat for some extra sparkle.

Vintage Cameo Birthday Card

For this card I pulled together several different vintage style elements to create the effect. The card blank is a standard white A6 size with pink card that has been embossed and had the edges inked matted onto it. I die cut the frame using two sizes of the decorative rectangles dies together (I used some masking tape to hold them both in position). The oval cameo centre comes from a Hunkydory Crafts die cut sheet. I inked the edges of the frame with black ink and decorated it with paper roses and self adhesive pearls, a velvet ribbon bow and a vintage style gemstone embellishment. The greeting is a silver peel off mounted on the same grey card as the frame with the edges also inked in black.
