Hand Made Happy Thoughts Card with Stencilled Nuvo Drops

Hi everyone, continuing my Nuvo Drops adventure I decided to see what else could be done with them, besides creating the drops themselves. I used two other techniques on this card, to create a stencilled design and painted on to a die cut butterfly.
The texture and pearly finish looks beautiful, I hope you can get the full effect from the photo.

Hand Made Happy Thoughts card with stencilled, painted and pearl Nuvo Drops

Start by making a stencilled panel, I chose three colours of Nuvo Drops to blend together.

Randomly squirt the colours over the stencil.

Then use a palette knife to spread the Nuvo Drops all over the stencil. You can add more Nuvo Drops if there are any gaps.

Carefully lift away the stencil and set the panel aside to dry for 24 hours. Die cut a small butterfly from white card, squeeze a small amount of Nuvo Drops onto a craft mat or tile, dip a paintbrush in water and mix into the Nuvo Drops and use it to paint the butterfly, leave this to dry for 24 hours too.

The Nuvo Drops had blurred slightly at the end where I hadn't fixed the stencil down with masking tape, so I trimmed this off. I used a 5 x 7 inch blank card but cut this down to 6.5 inches to match the panel, which I glued to the card front. Cut two pieces of white card approximately 2 x 6.5 inches and 1 x 6.5 inches. Stamp your greeting on the wider panel and add some Nuvo Drop pearls, above and below.

Adhere these panels, using foam tape, to the outer edges of the card leaving the decorated panel visible in between. Glue the butterfly to the top of the wider panel.

Three different ways to use Nuvo Drops to create a perfectly co-ordinated card. Details of all the supplies are linked below.
