Hard to believe it's time to make Christmas cards again, I'm not complaining though, it's my favourite time of the year!
I have been dying to have a go with our new Card-io stamps ever since we got them in stock, here is my first attempt.
The Classic Christmas set is made up of 5 very small stamps which you can overlap and layer to create this unique look. The smallest of the stamps fit onto the special Acrylic Stamping Peg which makes it really easy to use even the tiniest stamps.
I used a 15cm square card blank and layered gold and off white card. I inked the top portion of the card front with Bundled Sage distress ink and then stamped the design using Merlot, Gold and Evergreen ink pads. The effect is achieved by inking the stamp and then stamping two or three times before re-inking to give different depths of color.
I added a ribbon and bow to the card front and colored a wooden holly leaf embellishment with a gold ink pad and adhered that just below the bow. The Christmas greeting is also stamped in gold.
I am pleased with the final result and am looking forward to experimenting with different color combinations.
