Six Days Six Dies Day 6 Gatefold Birthday Card with Curved Border Dies

Well here is the last of our Six Days Six Dies cards, it's a gatefold card with the split between the 'gates' cut with a curved border die. I have put a Happy Birthday greeting inside but of course you could use the same design for any occasion.
I didn't use a ready made card blank for this I followed instructions from Christina Griffiths on YouTube.
I cut a piece of 14.5 x 14.5cm cream card and another piece 14.5 x 16.5cm the smaller piece is the back of the card and the bigger piece will be the front. I scored the bigger piece about 1cm in from each of the shorter sides. The photo shows the scored and folded edges of the card and the two dies that I am going to use to cut it taped together ready to use.

As with the previous card in this series I wanted to have the inset design but also needed to use one of the edge cutting dies, this time I chose the scalloped edge die to give an interesting edge to the 'gates'.

These two pieces can now be attached to the base card, using the folded edges. I have used slightly different colours so you can see where the join is.

I cut a piece of patterned paper to the same size as the base card and adhered that to the inside which covers up the joins between the front and back parts of the card. Another spellbinders die and a stamp  create the greeting which is also inside the card.

The rest of the card is decoration on the outside of the card. I used the plain edge die to cut the patterned paper for the front of the card and added adhesive pearl flourishes and Mulberry paper flowers, with a ribbon to tie the two halves closed. (The ends of the ribbon are hidden under the flowers on the right side and the centre part of the pearl flourish on the left.)

I am very pleased with the result!
