I am back playing with our new leaping reindeer die again, one of my favorites. The card design is inspired by one I saw in Papercrafter Magazine. I have not had the gilding flake out for a while so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to use it again.
The card base is a standard white A6 card, I matted this with dark blue card and again with white card. I die cut a circle from the white card then positioned it over the blue card and lightly pencil marked the position of the circle on the blue card.
Then I got to work with the gilding flake. First I spread a layer of Flitterglu over a piece of scrap card and covered it with gold gilding flake, when I had rubbed off the excess flake I die cut the reindeer from the piece of gold card that I had created. I also edged the white card layer and put some dabs inside the marked circle on the blue card to make the circle look a bit like the moon (or earth as one of my friends said...). From there I assembled the layers of card, stamped the greeting and attached the reindeer using foam pads to give a bit of a 3D effect.
Thanks for calling in, hope you like it.
