Hand Made Christmas Card with Majestix Clear Peg Stamps

Hi There
Here's a card that doesn't take as long to make as it looks, working with these tiny Card-io Majestix stamps is surprisingly quick and easy once you have decided on your color scheme. Even better, they are so forgiving, as the stamps overlap one another and are in a random pattern it's very difficult to mess up as you can just stamp over most mistakes :)

Hand Made Christmas Card with Majestix Clear Peg Stamps

This is a very simple two dimensional card using a 12.5cm sq white card blank for the base. I die cut an oval shape and stuck it in the centre of the blank card using masking tape so that I will be able to remove it later. If your masking tape is very sticky try sticking it to your clothes or skin a few times before you use it so that it doesn't damage the card when you peel it off. The oval shape forms a mask so that the shape stays unstamped.

I used a blending tool to blend Bundled Sage distress ink over the background of the card making it darker at the edges and corners and much lighter towards the centre. I used all five stamps in the Classic Christmas set, starting with the pine branch in Evergreen pigment ink followed by the holly leaf and ivy leaf both stamped in Bundled Sage, the poinsettia in Festive Berries and the berry stems in silver, stamped in that order. I turn the stamps round to have the images in different directions and sometimes stamp more than once before re-inking to give different shades of the same color.

When all the stamping is complete, gently lift off the oval mask and add your greeting to the space that has been created. I chose to stamp a greeting in Festive Berries distress ink, but you could use a peel off or card topper too.

Of course you could use any shape of mask for the centre and any range of colors for your stamping.

Thanks as always for taking the time to read, hope you like what you have seen, either way leave me a comment, it's always nice to hear from you.
