Hand Made Card with Die Cut Seahorse and Embossed Background

Hi Everyone, beach and sea themes are really popular at the moment and perfect for this time of year so I thought I would make one or two under the sea cards to demonstrate some of the new stamps, dies and embellishments that we have in stock. I love the striking colours of this card and the way the embossed background looks like bubbles floating up.

Hand Made Card with Die Cut Seahorse and Embossed Background

Start with a white A6 blank card, cut a piece of turquoise card a few millimetres smaller, emboss it with the Garlands embossing folder and apply Diamond glitter glue to the majority of the circles, leave it to dry.

Cut a rectangle frame from white card stock and the seahorse, seaweed, coral and starfish from a variety of coordinating colours. Use the Diamond glitter glue to add sparkly accents to all the die cut pieces except the white frame. Leave them to dry.

Once the glitter glue on the background piece is dry attach it to the card blank with double sided tape. Position the frame in the centre and use 1mm foam pads to fix in place.

Glue the seahorse to the upper right hand part of the frame, one of the starfish to the bottom right corner of the frame and the remaining die cut pieces to the bottom left corner.

Stamp the greeting onto a strip of coordinating card, the same colour as one of the die cut pieces, heat emboss with white embossing powder, cut the ends a a slight angle and adhere across the left side of the frame with adhesive foam pads.

You could change the colour scheme and greeting to suit different occasions, although the colours are one of the things I really like about this card. All the supplies used are linked below. If you have time I would love to know what you think of it, you can leave a comment below.
Thanks very much for visiting.
