I started with an A6 white blank card and inked around the edges with Bundled Sage distress ink. I then layered it with gold card. I cut a piece of red card ready for the next layer and a piece of white card slightly bigger than the last layer would be, so that I have room to stamp the background and then trim it down afterwards.
The first layer of stamping is the main part of the holly leaves in light green, the second layer is the outline of the holly leaves in a darker green and the third layer is the berries in red. Once the three layers of stamping had dried I trimmed the card to it's final size and inked lightly all over with Bundled Sage to soften the look of the background and add some definition to the edges and corners.
I adhered the stamped panel to the red card, then tied red paper string around the panels, threaded three red jingle bells onto it and tied it in a bow. I attached the holly panel to the main card using foam tape to lift it slightly to make a space for the paper string at the back.
I die cut five holly leaves from green card, inked the edges with Bundled Sage ink and added some subtle shimmer to them with a clear Wink of Stella pen. I glued these in place under the cluster of berries.
For the greeting I inked a strip of white card with bundled sage, stamped the greeting in watermark ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. This was attached to the card front using 1mm adhesive foam pads.
I am really pleased with the finished card, I love using those little bells for holly berries! I think the layering stamps are great and am looking forward to using more of them. Thank you for dropping in, I hope you like it too. All the products that I used are linked below.
