For this card I have used two of the stamps, the main holly panel and the Christmas sentiment. There are so many ways you could stamp and colour this but for my first card I decided on simple black un-embossed stamping and colouring with Copic markers, in traditional Christmas colours.
I started with a 6in x 6in white blank card, I cut layers from dark red and green card, adhered them together then tied red organza ribbon around them with a bow to the right hand side. I adhered the layers to the card blank.
I stamped the holly panel twice on white card, I coloured one of them with Copic markers and added red Nuvo drops for the berries. I inked the background, cut the panel out and glued it on to dark red card. I cut two holly leaves from the other stamped panel and coloured them with the same Copic markers.
I stamped the Christmas sentiment on to a 5cm square of white card and inked it with the same colours as the holly panel background. I mounted this on dark red card and adhered it to the card front below the organza bow. I used the cut out holly leaves to decorate one corner of the sentiment panel using a pre-made Nuvo drop dot for a holly berry to cover the ends of the holly leaf stems. (Click here for information on how to make Nuvo Drop dots for later use).
I am really happy with this card, I like the colours and the way the Nuvo Drops add some dimension and shine in a subtle way. I hope you like it too. Thanks for taking the time to visit. All supplies are linked below.
