Six Days Six Dies Day 4 Butterfly Friendship Card

Well here we are at Day 4 already, I hope you are enjoying seeing my ideas for the Spellbinders Curved Border dies. For today's card I have used one of the dies that cuts an inset rather than an edge, there are two of these in the set.

I started with a white DL card blank and trimmed the height to 17cm, I cut peach card stock slightly smaller than the card base and white card slightly smaller again. I used the inset die to cut a curved design out of the white card so that the peach card shows through from underneath.

The butterflies are die cut from a paint colour sample card which gives the slight graduation to the colour, they are decorated on the body with adhesive pearls. The greeting is stamped directly onto the white card.

Another simple card but I love the effect of the inset die.

  1. Hi Deb (sorry added a t to your name yesterday) . I love the simplicity of your cards. The die looks really good and using a paint colour strip very clever. The sentiment is really lovely too. Butterflies are my favourites so this is an all round favourite. Thank you x
