Start with a red 12cm square card blank, cut two pieces of white card, one 11.5cm sq and one 11cm sq. Use double sided tape to adhere the larger piece to the card front.
Use the Lacy Heart die to cut a heart from red card (if you haven't already got one from the previous project), then use the same die to cut a heart shaped aperture from the centre of the smaller piece of white card.
Adhere the smaller piece of white card to the card front and glue the die cut heart inside the aperture. I find a Quickie glue pen invaluable for gluing small and intricate shapes like this one. Fix adhesive crystals to various places on the lacy heart.
Stamp the greeting in black ink in the bottom right corner of the card and add a single crystal just below the message. The greeting is only part of a stamp, I put masking tape over the part that I didn't want to use before I inked it up and then removed the masking tape before I stamped it.
If you are not confident with your stamping skills it might be a good idea to stamp the greeting onto the white card once it is cut but before you spend time cutting the aperture and attaching it to the card front. Be sure to let the ink dry thoroughly before you do anything else though as it might smudge.
Funnily I only made this card to use up the lacy heart that I had cut earlier but I think it is my favourite of the four Valentine cards that I have made this year! If you have a minute I would be grateful if you could leave a comment to let me know what you think of it.
Thanks for reading
