Start with a 6 x 6" white blank card, trim it to 14.5cm square. Cut a piece of dark blue card 14cm square and a piece of white card slightly smaller. Die cut decorative squares from the centre of the blue and white card.
Create the sky, using a foam ink blending tool and Tumbled Glass distress ink all over the centre of the card blank. Cut a piece of blue marble effect paper with a slightly wavy edge and adhere this across the bottom of the inked sky to create the sea, use the die cut white card to check that enough of the sea will be visible when it is assembled.
Die cut the lighthouse, clouds and seabirds from white card stock. Use marker pens or pencils to colour parts of the lighthouse and assemble it. Again using the white die cut card as a guide, position the lighthouse so that it is tucked under the front of it, adhere to the card using 1mm foam pads to lift it slightly from the sea and sky behind it.
Adhere the clouds and seabirds to the sky area, putting one of the clouds slightly behind the lighthouse to add depth. Die cut two pieces of rope and an anchor from white card stock and adhere to the dark blue die cut panel. Adhere the white panel behind the blue one making sure that the die cut apertures line and up then use 3mm foam pads to attach this to the card front lifting up from the scene behind it.
Finally stamp and heat emboss the greeting in white on the same dark blue card and adhere to the front of the card again, using foam pads.
A fun card with a nautical theme which could be used for many different occasions. Thank you for reading.
